This is a selection of the numerous paintings produced from trips to France, Italy, Wales and Scotland from 2006-2008.  All work was completed on site with archivally sound supports and hand ground paint.

These drawings were completed with a variety of different media including pen and ink, charcoal, conte and graphite. 

The landscapes from 2009 explore new and interesting problems. Color, composition, and the value of light are all magnified and designed for viewing these large works from a distance. 

These are small frescos on terracotta tile.  The intonaco is laid and the painting is completed all in one day.

After my son Ezra was born in March of 2008, my mother and I set off with the baby for a trip to the Emerald Isle.  These paintings were done in all kinds of changing weather conditions, which was exhilarating and frustrating all at once.  A wonderful adventure!

These paintings were all done in around Western North Carolina from 2005-2009.
