About a month ago, my husband, Paul was encouraging me to write more. Writing has always been a part of my creative process, and sometimes a creative pursuit in and of itself. Words that speak like strokes of paint, or notes in a floating hymn; these have always plucked the chords that drive me to create. In May the WNC Woman magazine featured an article I wrote on painting and being a mother. This month, they published a poem I wrote last summer after waking from an afternoon nap with Ezra and Paul close by.
